I think Silverwood had a shocker last night. Every 50/50 went the Huddersfield and even some obvious Saints penalties went to Huddersfield. Not using that as an excuse though we got massive outplayed.

Quote: Saddened! "I think the Wellens one was the right call as he wasn't close enough to the line when it was forced out. If a player is in the process of putting the ball down and it's forced out, it's fine as you mention as the defender isn't trying to steal it, but force it away from the line.'"
I think it should be anything goes over the line. The tackler shouldn't have to worry aboiut giving a penalty away when trying to hold the ball up.
There is actually nothing in the rules about "crossing" - only obstruction. Gardner was clearly obstructed as, in a situation where he is attempting to get to the ball carrier and another attacker is running across his line, he has right of way.
Crossing is something that has been made up by people whose views of Rugby League are taken from numpties such as Phil Clarke and Mike Stephenson.
Was Gardner obstructed when attempting to get to the ball carrier? Yes he was. Penalty. End of story.

Your point is right but it was Percy. Ade didn't know where he was at this stage in the game.
I did think in the first half 'nothing at all is going our way here', but it then seemed to be the complete opposite in the second half. Still think the Wardle first try was wrong call.
