| Quote Judder Man="Judder Man"Don,t know if anyone can confirm this, but didn,t "Chariots of Fire" get into Eastmonds head to get him to start a career in Union. Result was the delay in announcing his decision, head said Union Money, Heart said League.'"
I don't think Offiah was his agent at the time. Saints matched Unions offer but the attraction of national fame plus Saints fans on his back took him towards union. If it was for money though you can't blame him.

| We have the stem of a good young team, Roby, Lomax, Makinson, Percival, Soliola, Walmsley etc.. What is letting us down is Mcmanus and his recruitment policy. Its been absolute dire for 5 years now and its finally catching up on us.

No idea but if he did I hate Phil Clarke evenmore!
I know he was with him at one point but Offiah denied it was his fault he went to union on Twitter.

| In fairness I think Offiah was his agent when he signed the 1-year extension, and I think he advised him to stay at Saints. The following year he had a different agent, but I'm not sure who.

Your getting confused , people only got on his back after he had made his decision , and even then people starting having ago because it was obvious his head was already gone.
When I say it should have been sorted I mean much earlier, you cant plan strategically with 1 year deals - if he refused to sign a proper contract we should have just sold him and if he refused to go just dumped in him the reserves and worked on plan B i.e Smith

Exactly. Both Eastmond and Graham should have been sorted the season before.
I knew for a fact that both players was going so I'm sure the club must have known. Its not hard to workout when both players wouldn't sign and both players was given permission to talk to other clubs.

I'm not, and they didn't. It started way before! he was getting abuse off ' fans' on twitter from the Wigan game in round 1 in Cardiff IIRC. He had a couple of comments back for them and it is a big part of why he left and even if he comes back to Super League will never come back to us.

Your in the wrong year pal. He had already decided to go by then , in fact he'd decided to go quite a while before that he just hadnt signed the deal etc.
Like I said it should never have got that far as we should have told him to sign or sod off. As for having him back , well unless he has had an attitude transplant I wouldnt want him back. Look at the way Jammer handled his exit - nobody questioned his effort or commitment because it was the same as always, Ea$tmond on the other hand was already counting his union cash
