OH how we wish Dr Koukash had dropped the cheque in McManus's pocket!

Really , we are out of the cup , have no halfbacks and no chance of getting to the grand final short of a miracle , the decline has been gradual but I just hope we've hit rock bottom. The only other thing that could go wrong now this year is to not make the playoffs .....


This is the worst Saints 'team' Ive seen in a long time and my support goes back a good few years before our Superleague years so I've seen some crap. The club has made some poor decisions regards player retention and recruitment and more tellingly poor calls when it comes to recruiting coaches, Simmons and Potter were very poor choices and have taken us backwards.

It's all fine and well saying we have a great stadium but it's pointless having a great stadium if it's home to a poor team as it will be a great empty stadium.

If he had I suspect we'd be looking at a Dobson/Chase partnership next season. As it is we'll probably be looking at Wilkin/Wellens and a load of PR coming out of the club telling us how much we have o look forward too.

Easily the worst team I've seen at Saints, too many average/below average players stealing a living. I'd rather throw the young lads in, at least they'd show some fight and desire, this season's a write off now. We've got 3 players taking up quota spots who offer absolutely nothing at all.

It's true. The season has gone. Let's stop making excuses and start filling spots with young players who can toughen up before next year. Percival needs to be starting games and playing throughout. The reserve halfbacks need to be in there - they simply can't be worse than the options we have. Wellens, god bless him, needs to be shuffled off to a mentor role and stop taking a shirt which a younger, faster, fitter, bigger forward might fill. Howarth needs to return to Salford. LMS needs to be dropped until his form picks up.

Get the young lads in. There's no point persisting with a poor team of out-of-form, out-of-position old stagers who are gaining nothing from the experience.

Biggest over reaction I have ever seen! OK no one enjoyed watching that or some of the stuff we have produced this season but do people remember Lomax, Roby, Manu, Flanagan and a fully fit TP? Some of our big names are missing and I think we are coping as well as we can. Obviously we need recruitment but theres not a lot we can do mid season.

And for next season, we need to be looking at the best OOC players from other clubs, like Hanbury and Sneyd, and not being beaten to it by other teams as has been the case in recent years. They're not world beaters, but they're the time of players we need and would make a difference.

I've been saying the same thing since 2008 about us not willing to build and how we lack ambition.

I'm not going to complety bag off McManus but its about time he either looked for someone with ambition to build a successful club to join forces with him or to find someone to replace him.

We've been on the slide for many years and the excuse of transition has been used but IMO its lack of ambition that's killed us.

I disagree. Today's performance is similar to previous performances this season. The impact of those performances is cumulative.
