Call me a bad fan but if Eamonn (or whoever is in charge of recruitment) do not find us a TOP halfback by next season. Then i will not be renewing my season ticket, you cannot fault the players. Theyre like a top class horse running without a leg. This is the Senior guys fault.

A club like saints who consider themselves one of the biggest clubs in the world to have a half back pairing of Wellens and Wilkin is noting but embarrasing. This is not because of injuries, it's because we have let recruitment go tits up over the last few years and lots of short sighted views.

Wellens is an embarrassment to the player he once was. I said about three or four years ago on here that he will retire a joke figure and not the legend he WAS.

He makes Daryl Powell look good and that takes some doing !

And it looks sadly as if you will be proved correct. My personal view would be he should not be playing at all but if we have to play him sticking him anywhere in the backs or halfback is just cruel as it's making him look a fool

You're often prone to exaggerate the negetives, but you may well end up bob-on with this.

You wont be the only one. This is the worst Saints halfback 'pairing' I've ever seen by a long way and I'm sure you wont be the only person wondering why you should renew your ticket to watch a second row and a tired old fullback huffing and puffing in the middle of the park desperately trying to add some creativity.

I cant believe Brown cant see what the rest of us can . It's bl00dy obvious to anyone with eyes who knows anything about Rugby that Wello is just terrible at 6

have you not tried Turner at 6. Pretty sure he was a 6 originally and when he stood in for us at Hull he always did a solid job. I thought with a run of games he could of developed into a really good 6 but he was shuffled around due to injuries before settling in at centre.

At various points in a few games he seems to have had a go there.

But then that leaves a gap at centre. Jones seems to be preferred in the back-row.
