I saw it too, a lot of people around me did too because there was a loud protest from our area of the stand after it happened! When I watched the highlights back on Sky, I was pretty shocked to see it not showed or even mentioned at all. Will be interesting to see if the disciplinary panel pick it up or not..

Not sure why people think McIlorum would deliberately target Wellens. He was our best player on Friday.

It was more opportunistic rather than a 'targeted attack'.

And he really wasn't your best player, Crosby was easily your best player.

Crosby and Walmsley were the only two stand out players across both teams.

I completely agree with Farrell, but none of the above were 'stand outs'. They played well but certainly not stand outs.

I wouldn't say they stood out.

i think some should watch the match over again as smith and green ripped saints apart at least 7 times. green and smith are turning out to be the best pairing wigan has had in a long time

I don't think Taylor, Smith and Green stood out for Wigan on Friday. It made me chuckle typing that it was like writing Freeman, Hardy and Willis.
