Kicking was rubbish and the pies made too many breaks, but on the whole that was a lot better than I expected.

Nothing wrong with the team spirit or desire. We were just a bit naive in defence - we weren't able to read Wigan's movement off the ball and it meant that they were always able to keep us at arms length. Our attack was pretty awful in the first half, but did improve in the second. Given the line up, I think that was to be expected.

One of the worst performances Wigan have put in all year especially the 2nd half that was dreadful.

We shouldn't win a game that comfortably playing like that.

Wigan had the ideas but they put the ball down too much. At the risk of pointing fingers, jack hughes couldnt do anything right in the second half.

Forrest Griffin doing his best LMS impression did his best to try and give us something. A few minutes of madness from him.

Come on admit it Wigan looked in a different league the way they broke through Saints line & their passing, yes a lot better second half, but nothing still to get carried away with.

To be honest Wigan must have been below par today not to rip us a new one. Not a top quality game, both sides turned over a lot of ball and feild position

As it turns out results in our favour this weekend.

Wigan weren't at their best in terms of finishing, too many dropped balls. I think the score line flattered Saints slightly.

To be fair though, Wigan at least have players in their preferred positions, despite having an injury struck pack. Saints' problems with people out of position is really costing you, even the best team in the world are going to struggle if their line-up is upside down.

Sadly, the game lost some of it's magic due to the injuries, I don't think it can be entirely blamed on lack of desire or heart.

Who is getting carried away ? Just looking for some positives in a bad day.

I don't think there was any lack of desire, or heart, at all. We were beaten by the better side on the day, a team that has some top individual players, like ratboy and Charnley. Given our lack of a 1, 6, 7, 9 and 13, we did pretty well.
