At the end if the day, the game is relatively meaningless. Indeed, injuries and Brown's selections have made the match a lot more appealing.

If that's true, then he's been written off by Saints. Even those who aren't his biggest fans would have had him in this team in front of Charnock.

There must be something he's showing during the week when we don't see him but he coaches do that has made him unpickable. Shame.

Gaskell won't play for saints until he signs a new deal

Very silly post but just what I have come to expect from you. Quite the opposite in fact. The club has been telling us when players have injuries. They haven't mentioned injuries to Gaskell or Hohaia and so they aren't injured. Apparently Makinson isn't playing tonight either. Is he injured too? No. Of course not.

I'm all for having young players play when the pressure isn't as great (on their debuts anyway; I'm not one for keeping them overly protected from the pressure games either). However, hooker and halfback are two important positions and to have debutants or near debutants playing in such positions at the same time when there is actually no need is not something I have ever advocated. It smacks to me of taking Salford lightly, which is not something I have ever advocated either.

Just because they haven't told you, doesn't mean they're aren't injured. We're playing Wigan next week, the club probably want to keep things hushed up regarding team news.

Lance is injuried makinson and Gaskell are not

Well, Saints would be changing direction completely if they took that approach.

He's been offered a new deal and turned it down.

That what I mean the club are still hoping he will sign and this is why they turned offers down to buy is contract out if Gaskell signs he will play if he does he won't play for us again
