Quote: Harry Pinner "I ordered and paid for a shirt over the phone the other day and asked my mum to nip in and collect it from the shop as I live 100 miles away.
Anyway she went in and they couldn't find the order for ages. All the phone orders were piled in no particular order under a table in a stock room which has a light that is on a motion detector. So the woman went in and ferreted around in semi-darkness under the table for a couple of minutes until the light went out. Then had to crawl out from under the table, go back to the room doorway (in darkness) to make the light come on again then walk back across the room, crawl back under the table and start rummaging again through the shirts under the table. After half a dozen trips back and forth she gave up and said "Do you just want to get another one off the rail?"
Our club's future is in safe hands.'"
Tell me about it, unbelievable that they are still employing the miserable one in there too. We went in there last Friday to pick up some shirts for the kids. I asked for their sizes and was told 'They are on the rails over there'. They were not, so I went back and asked. She shrugged and told me to come back another day, but someone else came in from the office and told her that all sizes were in boxes on the floor. She huffed and got them, in a real grump. I then had the cheek to ask for names and numbers on the back. She told me that I couldn't as the kids weren't there to try the kits on. I said it was okay, I understood the policy on non-returns of numbered shirts and knew the sizes as we had taken their football kits in as a comparison, which fit perfectly. She then shook her head, to which I asked 'is something wrong?'. She replied with 'I just think you're an idiot, that's £90 and you can't bring them back when they don't fit'. Again, someone from the office stepped in and processed the order and the numbering as she moaned to herself about my stupidity. The Mrs was writing the letter of complaint as we left the stadium. A slap round the face and a lesson in customer service required me thinks. The club could make a killing in there, but with that level of service, I highly doubt they will get much repeat business.
