Sinfield at 6 again then.
As I have said time and time again Sinfield is not the man who can break down Aussie and Kiwi's defences. We have better Stand Offs in England. Gareth Widdop, Sam Tomkins (Zak Hardaker at Full Back), Leon Pryce, Danny McGuire and even our own Jonny Lomax (Who I know plays SH but I think he could be a great running Stand Off taking the organisation role away from him) He wont get a game at Hooker as James Roby is a 80 minute player, Sean O'Loughlin is a shoe in at Loose Forward if he stays fit. So in my book the bench would be the only option for Sinfield as he could cover 6,7,9,11,12,13 if anyone got injured from the walk on 13. This is a joke decision in my book. Granted he is the best Super League Captain in history but I personally would have had Sean O'Loughlin as the England Captain.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement for Sinfield that...

Goulding and Edwards played 7, Daryl Powel Played a game at 6, I think Schofield got involved in the 2nd test. Perhaps Clarke played 6 in the third test?

Aye, Clarke played 6 in the 3rd test. The match in which Farrell was outstanding at 6 was the 2nd test against the Aussie SL side in 1997.

| Long played a blinder in Sydney that time, but had plenty of off days.
The problem people like him and Deacon had is that they'd have a quiet day mainly becuase their forwards lost out, but then they'd be written off as not being able to perform on the international stage.
We do not have a glut of talent at half back, we have even fewer who are in the mould to dicate a game with distribution and kicking and apply a game plan.
We could win these internationals by turning up and just out muscling the oppo, but for the sake of playing anything past one up park rugby, take Sinfield.

| Sinfield is never going to be a dazzling stand off in the mould of Lockyer or Marshall. He is however an outstanding leader, organiser and a master of all types of kick. He'll be the first to admit (like many halves) that he needs a pack that is holding its own, and that seems to be where we struggle against Australia regardless of who's at 6 or 7. As a captain he should be first class though, a true role model of a professional RL player
