I'm starting to think we have some of the most ridiculous fans in the league.

Firstly, after a sensational performance at HJ - meaning we have won twice where everyone else in the league has failed - I returned to the board to find a couple of rare posts celebrating the win, outnumbered considerably by 3 and 4 page threads criticising the usual scapegoats. Other boards would be full of threads rejoicing in a hammering of their local rivals, cup winners and many people's favourites for the title. Not us.

And now this. If you are seriously wanting your team to miss out on Final day, give it up. Just give it up.

100% I want Saints to get there. 100% I'll be there cheering them on. And, despite the result, I'll 100% want to be there again next year.

Not every team can start winning major finals as soon as they get to them like Wire did, you guys need to keep getting there and getting experience in the cauldron of the big occasion and one day you will have a bit of luck go your way and it could be the confidence boost you need to start becoming a side that wins trophies like us.

Nice try...............................you can only watch Back to the Future so many times, then you start to believe you were there and no one will convince you otherwise.

No matter how many times we lose the Grand Final I would still go and watch them in every Grand Final they get to because they are the team I support through thick and thin. Take the rough with the smooth, and as previously mentioned we have been spoilt with the success we have had in the Super League Era and we are having a baron spell in terms of silverwear... does that mean I should not go and watch them in any final they make it to?


The answer to that is NO... at the end of the day I'm a Saints fan and now matter how ace or how badly we are playing I will always support them and will always want to go to the Grand Final when we are there.

You all talk the big talk, but our ticket sales for Grand Finals have dropped every year since the first defeat.

To be fair I reckon our sales would have decreased each year even if we'd won them all - getting to the final every year will naturally make the event less exciting each time you do it whatever the result. A few years away from the final would do a lot to reinvigorate the fans and bring the hunger back.

So would winning one now, after the last 5 years.
