I was there and Wigan were much the better side for most of the game. I thought just after Half time when we got back to 22-10 we had a good spell of play and were perhaps the better side in that period. When Wigan scored to make it 28-10 that was the end of it though. The Wigan pack seemed to be making more yards and weren't being put to ground which was one of the main problems. On the back of that Wigan's Half backs (Hampshire and Williams?) dominated, Hampshire certainly looks one for the future. From a Saints perspective I thought Gilbraith had a good shot at it and as you've already mentioned our number 7.

I thought the fitness levels appeared better from the Wigan side in my opinion which told in the last 20 minutes of the game!

I agree, a few of the Saints lads (front row in particular) appeared to be carrying a few lbs extra.
And Wigan lost two of their back row forwards to injury in the first 25 minutes (couldn't come back on).

My op was not biassed at all. It was fact, as anyone who attended will confirm. (not sure if there were 14 or 15 U17 players in the Wigan side)
