I can perfectly understand where the OP is coming from and without getting into a broader discussion about the
play off system versus FPTP system etc.

However..... whether we agree with the present play off system or not (which I personally don't) the idea of wanting Wigan to win the SL regardless of how they have done it makes me feels

The game will end up being run by a few top clubs, how about an eight team Super? League which will have even less interest to major sponsors than now! and in the end may end up back semi pro, not sure if Sky would have interest in such a minor interest game any longer. I have been in rugby league since I was a kid but you know it would not really concern me if this is what happened as thousands of others I have very little interest any longer, so many think it is "The Greatest Game" still, which is a Joke.

Do you mean the Super League myth? Only four different winners in the past 16 years, and only five different finalists.

I dont really see the relevance of last week to be honest. Regardless of the fact you defended my post on the Warrington board, I still hate Wigan. As should all Saints fans. And if, as a Wigan fan, you told me that you didn't hate Saints, then I would be more than a tad confused.
Surely you don't expect me to forget 27 years of hate towards Wigan, all because you defended something I said last week? Don't take it so personally!

And for all the people moaning about the play-offs only about 23 league seasons have been decided by a first past the post format.

You neglect the number of different winners of the Challenge Cup since Super League was created i.e. only two teams have managed to retain the cup in sixteen years, us and Wire.

There have been less different teams contest the Challenge Cup Final since Super League than the sixteen years prior to it starting, and only one less winner.
