Quote: Gi4nts "Have you seen Brown's coaching record for both St George and Huddersfield? It is mediocre at best. Won nothing with either club and lost the dressing rooms at both clubs.
He is not a world class coach and neither has he done a fantastic job so don't fool yourself.
Regardless of what you think of Huddersfield, Brown has spent full salary cap money bring his players in, numerous internationals that he chose and he still couldn't in a thing.
I will be surprised if he lasts a season at saints thru him wanting to leave or you getting shut!!'"
I believe he took both sides high up the table from pretty low starting points. I'll agree he does seam to have a tapper to his record, but if he can push us on a bit further that will do me fine, when he starts to tapper get shut. I have no loyalty to coaches or players per se. If he does not tapper for Saints then if he pulls in 2 trophies I can see us keeping him. But history does not always repeat itself. DA at Saints then back home in oz. Tony Smith at Huddersfield and Leeds and Warrington. Sean Mcrea at Saints/Gateshead then Salford.
Some coaches fit with a team, other coaches don't. The very strange this is the Huddersfield players turning on the coach who brought most of them through. Although there is the chance that it was not all the players and so there could have been a split which would indicate why there was no post coach reaction last week, if that divide remains.
At Saints we did not just sack Royce, the assistant went too and it was a former player and youth team coach that bring that aurthority with both junior and senior players.
