I was a massive fan of Prekky. To be fair, he'd be going very well at the moment, the way team slike to use the full back in the attacking line. I've not seen many players that are better to watch.

But

Wellens, around the 2006 mark, was absolutely imperious from the back.

Wellens is the best full back we've had in my time.

Probably our best ever - only one who runs him close is Geoff Pimblett

Just to be clear, I was talking about both players at the peak of their game.



Never saw him play live, but from what I've been told you're probably right.
