Quote St pete="St pete"Jamie foster has options to sign for other clubs but really wants to stay. He's been advised by his agent to sit tight for next year and see where he stands with Nathan Brown.
IMO its going to be touch to turn down what's on the table but he does want to stay at saint.'"
If I was his agent I would advise him to take a dead certainty rather than hold any loyalty to the club. If he waits till Nathan Brown but then does not get picked for a year his value will drop. He needs to do what is best for him and it's not like the Eastmond situation where he will have left the club hanging for a 2 year period whilst he messed us about.
I don't buy the big ego thing and I still think he could be a SL player, a new start maybe the best thing for him. Better for him to go elsewhere and get some decent cash and leave us wishing we had done better by him, than to let his value fall in the reserves and end up with fewer options and no way back at Saints.
He's a pro sportman and his professionalism needs to take a front seat, he would always be welcome back in 3 years if he was in high demand.
I have nothing personal against him and I think he is better than the absolute tosh that gets thrown at him, but at the moment he does not have the quality to get into the team and next year he may still be 3rd to a triangle of Ade, Makinson and Swift. Not really the place he wants to be in.
ps assuming it's an offer from a SL club.
