At last, the RFL standing up to the Goons
"Wigan Rugby League Club Ltd were instructed yesterday by the Board of Directors of the Rugby Football League Governing Body ("RFL") that Wigan must play their quarter-final match against St Helens on Saturday afternoon 12th May at 2:30pm at another stadium if the DW Stadium is not available."
What a bleating little buffoon IL comes over as in that article.
"We also feel that the RFL scheduling of Challenge Cup rounds has been poor with three rounds in 30 days followed by 9 weeks before the semi-finals. More importantly, no account seems to have been taken of the clear conflicts with football-shared stadiums on the weekend of the 13th May with immovable Premier League final matches taking place "
Only the Goons share a ground with a PL side, it is up to them to get their own house in order, and not expect the rest of the league to have to make any alterations to suit them.

What a complete farce not just to WiganRL but to the whole of RL and the Challenge Cup.

How is it incompetence on Wigans part they identified to the RFL in October this fixture would be restricted! Was it Leeds incompetence when you had to limit the capacity due to a cricket match being played? Before you start spouting hypocritical tripe THINK! |
