I'm a big fan of Shenton, and thought he was a good signing. But he's wasting a jersey at the moment. Weak defence, and no threat in attack. Would a spell in the reserves help boost his confidence playing against weaker opposition, while at the same time reminding him that he needs to shape up to keep his spot ?

I'm starting to think it may be what he, and the team needs. But can we do it with the injuries we have at the moment?

Once Wheeler gets back fit, i can see Shenton being moved onto the wing rather than be dropped.

Physically he is more of a modern day winger than a centre, in that he possesses the height to deal with kicks and sufficient pace to finish moves off.
At centre however i feel he lacks the strength and guile to cause defenders too many problems.
It says a lot for me when 18 year old Josh Jones looks more like the real deal at present than Shenton.
