Quote: BigRedV "Rush is clearly not a genius and by his own admission has not done anything startlingly radical in the last 2 weeks. However, I posit that he is probably extremely good at man-management.
Our squad has bags of ability in some places a lot of experience. I reckon Rush and KC stood in front of them (esp the senior players) and told it like it is - they weren't earning their money and had effectively got 2 good men sacked because of their poor performance. What are you going to do about it?
I also reckon they train them pretty hard! I can imagine KC being a pretty uncompromising taskmaster.'"
I think rush is playing his part in the way we are playing since he and KC took over. I'm good friends with some saints lads and asked them what had changed.
Rush had changed the defensive pattern and gone with one that the players feel much more comfortable.
Also, he's give them a more free role and introduced more options for the halfbacks in the form of runners.
