Quote: St pete "I think some certain posters had their head in the sand after the Widnes game and couldn't bring themselves to admit the was a lot of teething problems as we posted on here.
We wasn't bagging the club or the stadium, we was putting our constructive views on the problems yet certain posters like pinner took it to heart.
IMHO these problems wouldn't have been sorted without the feedback of the fans. Anyone with half a brain knows what the McManus and club have done to get this stadium and everyone is so greatful and proud.'"
Whilst I agree there were some people who didn't want to admit to there being issues, I think that for many it was more a case that a number of fans seemed more keen to point out the negatives rather than highlight the positives.
Additionally once one or two people had commented on what went wrong, dozens more people posting on here, on Redvee, on the official site and on the social network platforms about what had by then become very obvious concerns to fans and the club, becomes monotonous and appears more like people just looking for an excuse for a good old whinge.
What got me particularly is that whilst it's great for people to come here and discuss things, you can guarantee that the majority of those people would have made no effort to contact the club directly to offer their constructive criticisms.
I'm of the opinion that the club would've been only too aware of things like; the puddles on the concourse, the potential for there to be problems with the turnstyles, and issues with the PA system, themselves before the events, and things like; the over-crowding of the west terrace, and the bar service issues during or immediately after the friendly, but then that was the main reason for holding the two ramp-up events in the first place.
