| Went across the bridge yesterday to Tesco and it looks like someone has tried to pull up some of the manhole covers.
How long before it's wrecked I wonder?

| Quote exileinpietown="exileinpietown""exile You seem to be making the assumption that the roofer is at fault, I wish people would stop trying to pick people up before they have fallen over. Why would you think a company would be looking at a fans forum to prepare anything i don't know."
I based my post on the article in the Cumbrian paper to which there is a link somewhere either here or Redvee. In the article the company proudly boast that they "designed and built" the roof. Apart from the weather where else does the accountability lie? I am not disputing that they are a reputable firm I'm just saying that if the finger is seemingly being pointed at the company then in the interests of reassurance and company image then I would be putting the PR men into motion and clarifying matters.
I'm just looking forward to the whole thing being repaired and safe and ready to go for the Widnes game!'"
You are taking the design portion far too literally. The subs element of design will be limited to the flashings. Materials gauge, fixings and fixing centres will be specd by the manufacturer.

Bit of info here with regards to stadium security systems
www.connectingindustry.com/story ... 202957&c=1
Interesting how it is capable of carrying voice alarms.
"SYSTEM 888 SYSTEM 888"
perhaps.
Or more probably something like
"Emergency systems activated. Please immediately evacuate the building by the nearest available exit."

Nobody seems to know the actual cost/value of Langtree Park. I've seen £20 million, £25 million and now £44 million. The last one sounds best though, don't you think?

| Stadium:MK is having 10,000 new seats (on previously constructed but so far unused terracing) and some stairs going up to them, and (our old favourite) exterior cladding installed on it's 3 currently unfinished sides come the summer, and just that work alone is reportedly going to be costing over 30 million to do. If it cost less than that to build an entire 18,000 capacity stadium from scratch on a brownfield site then I have simian nephews...

Just seen a tweet indicating that four of the bars in the ground have been fitted out by Dawnvale.
They expect to have pics up shortly
Here is a link to their website
