No that's not a bad route really, I prefer to go a little earlier and go into town first, so long as you can get a direct train to one of the main stations that have metrolink there (Piccadilly/Victoria both do) you can then get the tram to exchange quay and walk from there, However if you go ealry like us then you can also pick the tram up and GMEX (Now Deansgate Castlefield) and go to exchange quay from there. I get off and Salford Quays and have a few in the food places there then walk up.

Thanks for that! It depends what me and my mates arrange now from that. I doubt we'll be going for any as we're abit young for it yet though.
