Quote: mistermoo "Why have Rugby League now taken to doing a minute of applause? I can understand in football because of the mindless idiots and I can also understand the cup final or grand final because of the amount of alcohol swilling around, but for a normal league game a minutes silence would have been more appropriate and I am sure would have been observed impeccably.'"
You may well find that a minutes applause was requested by Paul's family. From the moment the PA Announcer started speaking there was silence from the crowd, followed by sustained applause when the referee blew the whistle. There was no shouting, no chanting, just sustained applause. Tremendous behaviour by both sets of fans.
