Lyon had Long, Scully and Vinnie Anderson (I hate this term) playing inside him, compare that to Shentons service. Dont get me wrong, Shenton is not in the same galaxy as Lyon but he is being made to look poorer than he is.

I hadn't really worried about Flanders's absence, but the difference in strength and go forward from his drives, as opposed to the young back rowers was very,very obvious when I saw the Bradford game.

That's the difference 10 years makes in developmental terms!
