I never really get this following sports players on twitter thing. It just seems like a huge ego boost for them, to have a few thousand people following their private conversations and in jokes with other players. And then you get fans who go on there just to send them abusive messages, get a life people.

Did he? He hasn't blocked me! I love reading his tweets, especially those with Wello. They don't get into it as much as they did but I think they have probably backed off after some Saints fans were seriously unpleasant with Mathers over him not knowing Jamie's name. Jamie had to intervene to cool it off. Fancy, a 20 year old having to sort out the behaviour of those older than him!

It all depends who it is. I'm not that much of a fan of Leon's tweets, for instance, mostly because he praises everything Yarkshire way too much for me! But Foster and Wello are great and then you get others chiming in, such as LMS and Wheeler, and it can be hilarious sometimes. Mainly though I keep up to date with Saints on it and Steve Prescott and some hacks. I enjoy Twitter; never got into Facebook though.

I know a few people like Ski who have annoyed our "enemy" players.

My favourite was Luke Burgess telling him to go and play on a motorway.

Yep, like me sending abuse to Matt Diskin the other day after his post match interview. I'm no hypocrite though, I'd do it at the game also. He was nice enough to retweet it too.

Saints beat the Police 24 - 14 and Salford 20 -18 but lost to Wigan 12 - 22.
