You dont want to be shouted at for dropping a ball you need a pat on the back i hope wilkin says something to graham when he makes a mistake he hates loosing and hates mistakes i get that and thats good but you need to encourage a player surely? Not to rub it in and make the mistake worse than it already is IMO hes bound to make another mistake because hes under pressure not to?

Did anyone see Graham going totaly nuts at Makinson and yelling at him after one of the Leeds tries ? I thought he was going way over the top and should'nt of been going off at a young player like that.

These young players are getting paid to do a job, if one makes a mistake, they need to know its not acceptable, just my opinion

Not much either of them can do about that.

Graham can go a bit OTT sometimes. He's an angry young man. Needs to be a bit more
selective. Wellens doesn't mince his words and gives a bol***king when necessary but is also supportive.

Thought makinson did well. Neither he or shenton had any decent ball to run.
That's the price of having Sia in the SR. Hopefully now Gaskell is back he can get them
some decent ball to work with.

You've got to take it case by case, though. I'm sure Makinson is well aware that mistakes are unacceptable (or undesirable, at least - even James Graham makes mistakes, after all). Indeed, while I thought he had a good game, Makinson's body language is that of a young player who is still a little unsure of himself at the top level - if that's the case what he needs is to be encouraged to believe in himself, not ranted at by one of the most high profile players at the club.

I'm not sure on the shouting at players for making mistakes that James Graham is doing this year, that is not the actions of a great captain.

A good captain should know how each player responds, some need a good telling off where some need a arm round them or pat on the back and told to keep your chin up. I think Graham only knows one way.

Your correct, James Graham ain't perfect and does make mistakes like at hull when his mistakes cost us two tries.

Yes that was the try,theres not much the kid could of done with those numbers against him yet he got Jammer in his face screaming blue murder at him.

So by that reasoning when a senoir pro makes a mistake they should get double the screaming at.

It don't matter if they getting paid or not, shouting at players don't help anyone.

Each player needs to be treated different as each player reacts to different ways. Shouting and balling at some players knocks their confidence and makes them go into the shell and stops them doing their normal game.

Yet, shouting at some players gets a good reaction out of them, they think stuff this I'll show him.

I'm not sure jammer knows the difference but shouting at young lads will knock their confidence.

I'm talking from being a captain nearly all my life from under 10s until I was 32.
