- We avoid Leeds, Warrington & Wigan
- Dire and the Pies play each other (so one of them drop out this round)
- We have a home (Stobart) tie

The two teams everyone wanted in the final are playing each other in the quarter finals, thus enabling Saints and Leeds who the RFL love into the semis unopposed.
(Or it might not actually be fixed, who knows).
I think this draw is as unsuspicious as it could ever be. If Wire, Wigan, Saints and Leeds had been at home and kept apart it would have been dodgy. |
