All the pies are voting for Wire - Leeds and Saints players so that their players won't play (or so they think.) Do they realize that the 13 chosen may not contain any Wigan players but then Bluey and Matterson will pick them to make up the 22 man squad. They ( the coaches)then will chose the team from these 22. At the end of the day they can still end up with 3 Exiles from Wigan + any English players that get chosen.

I wasn't impressed by this idea when Tony Smith first spoke of it whenever that was but it's really grown on me as a concept lately. Although I think the RFL are being their usual idiotic selves in relation to the outworking of what I now think is a great idea, it's a great idea and I hope it is very successful. I've ordered my ticket, even though it means going to Headingley (is there NO other ground in this country?), and I'm really looking forward to it.

Get your votes in for Bradford and Wigan players. They are the teams we play the 2 weeks after this game.

If they wanted this to work, the RFL should scrap the magic weekend and play the exiles game on the late May Bank holiday and have no Superleague or National League fixtures on that weekend.

I agree this should be a stand alone fixture, a club team could have 6 players in the match and be expected to play 2 games in a weekend.

While I like this idea I think England will lose and Australia will take a huge psychological advantage from that.
