i hate saying this but cant see anything but an easy win for wigan, similar score to the first game last year in the fog against hullfc

At the end of the day remember it is the end of the season that counts not the beginning. Much as we would like to win especially as it is against Wigan it won't be the end of the world. I think we will put up a better performance than many people think we will. Its a DERBY anything goes.

It's all about confidence and getting off the blocks fast.
In that respect either team could suffer from a slow start and if not careful could see the game gone for them by HT.

It's impossible to say which team will react better, but my gut instinct that the goons will esp after OT in the GF. Balanced against that is their missing players so......I'm going for a draw. 22-22

I'm inclined to agree, but mainly because we are underdone. We just haven't had any real time to play as a team under our new coach and that is bound to affect how we start the season. We'll all be holding our breath just to see if Kyle makes it through the full 80 without any problems! I think that would be an achievement in itself. I just hope we put up a good show, regardless of the result.

Saints on a tight win 18-14

The only thing that worries me today is the number of injuries being picked up. I just hope we don't pick any up today. If that is the case I can see us sneaking a close win.

Just heard some info direct out saints camp. We have picked up another injury and he is a big doubt for the Wigan game.

Also three players going into the game carrying injuries.
