can see the obvious attraction of union to a young player. Ashton was always going to be a player of limited abilities in League, but in union he is looked upon as some sort of superstar, based around a "wonder" try and an unprofessional try scoring celebration. His earning power now must be many times any british rugby league players, his face is on the front and back pages of all the papers, all he needs now is a celebrity girlfriend and he is made. And let's face it, he hasn't got there either on his looks or his ability. If he had stayed at Wigan, he would be playing in front of a few thousand yokels week in week out, and struggling to get his name in the MEN. Can't fault his ability to make a name for himself. Kyle Eastmond, you could be next.

I completely agree it was a borefest and the commentary by Moore is nothing but a total joke, but it hurts a little with all the money that has come into League from Sky that we are still struggling and that star players are in such awe of union and as some have also seen on Twitter they see it as a BMW? I worry for our game, the number of clubs struggling, what is going to happen, would we be better semi-professional once more and see the game completely outclassed by a boring game of union, that is not what I want! |
