| Quote Father Ted="Father Ted"Perhaps Saints could let him go now and get a transfer fee rather than in a year when they'll not get anything!
If he does go it will be a big loss for Saints and for RL.
Pity a salary cap allowance or exemption can't be made for him as a home grown player as with all other HG players.
At least then Saints would have some kind of chance of keeping him.'"
Would not make any difference, RU would just raise the ante further, with more money.
Only people who would benefit are the players involved.
RL cannot afford to bankrupt itself chasing dreams.

| Biscuit bones won't last in RU. Christ, he can barely last a game of RL. Imagine some 34 stone lawyer running at him, ears blowing steam at the mere thought of claret. Be like watching a truck hit a water balloon.

| I think Kyle is a good player but I don't think he's going to be the player I thought he'd be. He's only young but has shown already he don't like the rough and tough of super league as he's very very injury prone.
I also don't like his attitude, he seems very up himself and I think it's pretty obvious he's using saints as a stepping stone to get into rugby union.
I think he will like union as he won't have to make a tackle and will touch the the ball much less than he does in league.
The fact he's already been down to bath and held talks is enough for me to say you can have Kyle now for £100,000 to £150,000. I don't want players who's main goal this year is to secure a big money move.
So IMO sir mac, get this big time Charlie in your office and tell him to make his mind up now!

Why would Bath pay £100K - £150K for Eastmond now?
1) He is injured and probably won't be able to play until February
2) The RU season finishes in April/May
3) They can sign him for nothing at the end of September

1) February is only a month off.
2) If the RU season finishes in April/may then he will have more than a full pre-season to get the basics of a new sport.
3) I doubt only bath will be sniffing around him.
To be honest I don't really care if he goes, we've played the last two seasons without him, I'd prefer a good ball playing scrumhalf.

| It would've been interesting to see people's thoughts if he'd actually cemented his place with a run in the team since he signed his last contract. I doubt Eammon will be held to ransom by someone who's not completed a full season yet. Going to be interesting, this one!

| If it became a bidding war for Eastmond I can see Warrington throwing their hat into the ring and getting rid of Myler to make room. They have already shown they have massive clout when it comes to spending power.
