Quote: Offside Monkey "I may be on my own, but (especially if Kyle's not fit) do you not think the coach will be tempted to play Sinfield in the halves?
I don't think he's an effective enough forward to warranty a place in the back row if we want to out wrestle the antipodeans.
The way he's lead Leeds over the past few season probably puts him in front of any other player in terms of game smarts and knowing how to manufacture a victory. He also has arguably the best kciking game available to us.
However, I think he's just a little too pedestrian for a half back and offers little threat to the line himself, meaning that some of his plays (especially at international level) will look very predictable.'"
Very true.
Every Leeds fan would probably say otherwise mind, but Sinfield has maybe 1 or 2 runs per game, that simply isn't enough, especially in International rugby. That said, i was impressed with him at hooker last season for England, and alternating with Roby, would be a good idea.
Again, this probably all depends on the fitness of Eastmond, which would then allow for Tomkins and Eastmond to be the halves, and Sinfield to rotate with Roby at hooker.
