video ref was a joke they are there to make the game more consistent any video ref who makes a mistake when he can pause it and slow it down and watch it over and over should be shot

yes it did even up the emmit try maybe thats why he gave it he realised he made a mistake

Dincha know, us Saints have the RFL in us back pockets. The try was given because we know just how much it would vex off the Wolfs. And it has!

think the point is being missed here,never mind the westwood try,the point is that the technology and smith was a failure.why you ppl are refering to other decisions is beyond me,you afraid to admit that was not a try by a country mile,some have already said if westwoods try had gone to video it would have been wiped off,unless of course smith was video ref aswell.SHOCKING decision.

the point is theres far too many wrong decisions are being made not just from video refs but from all the officials the touch judges aswell are too old and frail to run the line how can you go upstairs on gardeners try to see if his foots in touch he was clearly a foot away from the line and the 80 year old touch judge was stood right there shocking !

then you look back over the leeds game and every other leeds game this season and every try scored down leeds left through kieth senior comes from forward passes again under the nose of the guy running the line what are these guys getting paid for !

It looked like a try watched live imo,but so did Smiths try in last years grand final.................

Some really bad decisions, but it sums up the game at present, hope we do not get like wrestling before that had it's TV demise!

Because no Wire fan can justifiably be on here having a go about the James Roby non-try when in their match against Hull FC there was the Ben Westwood non-try. All square. We would still be ahead of you in points difference after the two matches if both the non-tries had not been given (and neither of them should have been). Suck it up.

The two incidents are completely different, but Smith made a mess on both of them. He should have referred the Westwood try, and he should have disallowed the Roby one. Can you imagine the fuss if he was VR for the Grand Final and gave a VR decision like last night at a crucial point? It was a really poor decision.
