Never liked the Magic Weekend concept much myself. If they did move it to the first week I think it would be a slight improvement as it could be a big media-publicitised start to the season but would prefer it to just be scrapped. If they had it in week one what would the format be? I hope it's not a return to derbies which I think diluted the derbies and I believe Good Friday should be the first meeting between Saints and Wigan.

Correct, derby games may get this event to become a "something" instead of a "nothing" it could well be if they stuck on saints v salford, or leeds v crusaders or such like.... derby time and they stand a chance of gettign 50k over the 2 days !

Everyone can buy a ticket as a Christmas present, lets get thousands of saints fans down there and huddle together to keep warm and sing like the valley men.

Imagine if its foggy all weekend like our opening game?

Well, since the roof will be shut, we'll be ok. We'll be able to see.

I'm fancying going myself although God knows what the RFL was thinking about, organising the weekend to clash with the Six Nations. They need their corporate head reading.
