I see your point, my main gripe is the time, i'll have to miss an afternoon in work, and the £ from that as well.

Having to miss work and lose money is of course a very good reason to think twice about attending, but £14.50 to watch a team like St Helens is a steal. Our sport under-values itself too much.

For what it's worth, the general ground admission at Barrow for 2010 is £15 or £16 Grandstand.

Oh I wouldn't worry about it, you always get some folk that think everything below Super League isn't worth talking about. I've seen Barrow a few times on TV this season and last and they weren't that far off the performance of a bottom end SL team.

I'm sure it will be very competitive but it's likely that most people that see the game will be Barrow speccies.

After last nights performance, maybe the Saints v Barrow Challenge Cup encounter will be a bit more than a 'practice match' after all. I'm sure Mr Rooney will be giving Barrow lad Ade Gardner a LOT of catching practice !!!!!!
