United Glass was bought out by Ravenhead in the late 80's which in turn was owned by a Belgian company. Following the collapse of Ravenhead there were some 'problems' with the pension fund. These have left a number of employees more than a little aggrieved. So all in all its probably not something to link to the stadium, even though United Glass operated on the site for nearly 100 yrs.

full marks to Wigan being top of the pile, you are, IMHO, there strictly on merit, (not like the old days when I, and others, dispised Wigan for buying success).
