| The problems:
Potter - Clueless, one dimensional, crap player management, ideas (like playing Roby on the wing for an hour)
Game plan - Boring, unexpansive rugby. Good for Bradford when they had a massive pack early SL years, good for catalans in recent years with there big pack.
Attack - do we actually practice any attacking plays in training?
Defence - players looked last night like they have forgot how to tackle.
Pryce - looks like he just wants to turn up and be paid. Not hungry anymore.
Flannery - Not good enough simple as, should be a squad player at best.
Soliola - Not a centre in a million years.
Graham - Possibly the best prop in the world, obviously doesn't like Potter and doesn't look like he's enjoying it anymore. Same goes for a number of players.
Fitness - Potter sems to have tried to bulk everyone up to play his crap tactics... resulting in slower players with less skill. If you beefed Floyd Mayweather up to be a heavyweight boxer would he be any good? No he would be e.
Pace - Our back line has none. Our fastest player is our scrum half.
Aging players - Cunningham and Gidley have been brilliant but have they still got it?
3 hookers - will never work.
Eastmond - too much pressure on him to produce something special because our other ideas are crap.
I don't pretend to be a good coach/manager, or even an average one but even I can see something needs changing!
I would get rid of Potter and get Millward and Sculthorpe as a joint effort. I much prefer the 'it doesn't matter how many they score, we will score more' attitude of Millward than the 'drive, drive, drive, drive, drive, kick' attitude of Potter. Scully will make a great coach and this could be the chance for him to learn. He obviously loves the club and wants us to win.
Soliola should be moved to second row where he can naturally increase the size of the pack without just making players fatter. Pryce should be put at centre. This will give us more pace in the backs, plus he's not cuuting the mustard at SO. If he doesn't like it tell him to do one. Wheeler should get the SO spot. It doesn't matter that it measn it would be a very inexperienced half back pairing, both of them are confident and very good players. Wheeler can probably organise better than Pryce and lets be honest he can't do a worse job can he.
Lomax should come onto the wing as he is very fast, can catch and needs game time without the pressure of FB. Plus he's just better than Gardner.
If Cunningham doesn't want to retire a bit early then Roby needs to play LF and let Cunningham/Moore do the job at hooker. Trying to fit them all into hooker is silly. Flannery should be dropped and used only as cover, same with Hargreaves.
My team would be:
Wellens
Lomax
Gidley
Pryce
Meli
Wheeler
Eastmond
Graham
Cunningham
Fozzard
Soliola
Wilkin
Roby
Moore
Fa'asavalu
Puletua
Clough
This is only my opinion but I think we have big issues and they need sorting quick because £19 is a lot to pay to watch such boring rugby.

| Quote: Billinge_Lump "His last big job doesn't suggest he does though.
People are remembering a very good period for us. Millward was only a part of that, he would no longer have Sculthorpe, Cunningham, Long and Martyn at the top of their games. Instead he has Flannery, a well past his best Cunningham, a very inexperienced Eastmond and a runner with no form in Pryce. We don't have the players to play off the cuff like we used to and defences are far tighter than they used to be.
People think Potter is a disaster? We'd see real disaster if Millward came back.'"
You really have your sensible head on today, that I believe is a realistic assessment.

Some speccies from other clubs said we'd never win the big games when Anderson arrived, but I stated it didn't worry me too much as long as I didn't have to go through any more 70-0 drubbings which we'd get handed twice a season under Millward.

We gave out the drubbings instead, which is a [imuch[/i nicer feeling!
