In the past they were proper derbies as part of the regular season. Nowadays it's just one more Wigan derby and we get enough of them in a season anyway. I'd much rather us have played a friendly against someone else.
Here's an idea. Those who want to go, go. Those who don't, don't! The club will make a bit of money and everybody will be happy being either there or somewhere else!
