Fozz still had a year of his contract to run in Yorkshire. I wonder if Saints had to buy him out of it. If not then why were Rovers in such a hurry to get shut of him?

I think Fozzard is a good signing, but only for the one year. He'll do the job but we need to sign a young destructive prop for 2011, with his better years ahead of him.

| He would have signed last month but both parties hit a stumbling block in signing the contract as Fozzard wanted one fresh pair of beige 'Farrah' pants, one bottl of 'Brut', a nice pair of tartan slippers and a pipe thrown in with the deal.

Nah, sometimes with sport it just doesn't seem 'right'. It doesn't feel like your club and you fail to bond with the people and the situation.
It happens all the time in football. A striker scores 30 goals for one team, signs for another and can't hit a barn door. Returns to the original team, often one not as good and bangs them in again.
