| We could have taken the drop goal, but, that ain't the Saints way.RL has got exposure on BBC news, before 0830 on a Saturday morning, because of our defeat. We have got to look on the plus side, there were four kids on the pitch tonite, who tackled their heart out.Hull kr played well, with the dodgy referee in the middle anything could have happened. But here is a thought, he disallowed our try for a forward pass on the advice of the touch judge. However, on the Hull kr - Fox try - the touch judge indicated that there was a foot in touch, but, Smith awarded the try, even though he was 10 yards away and watching the grounding.Double standards me thinks!

| I thought that he came inside to give his winger a little more space. IMO, which is probably wrong but it's as I saw it, the KR defence was covering over. Wheeler knew he wouldn't make it, came inside and tried to kick the ball into the corner for Armstrong. I thought he did the right thing but the execution let him down as he got tackled as he was dropping the ball to kick it. If it had come off he would have been a hero and we wouldn't have people on here slagging off a young lad at the start of his career.

Presumably that's because our experienced players, the ones that get paid the big fat salaries, actually managed to hold on to the ball? They're the ones who should be criticised, if anyone, for our loss on Friday night, not the young guys who to my eyes played their hearts out, played well, gave of their best and didn't look out of place in what was a pressure game (thanks in part to those experienced players I mentioned).

Most people would disagree with that view and I will take you up on your bet.

| He made a mistake, but he's a young lad, he is expected to make mistakes. There is nothing wrong with that, provided he learns from it. He didn't fare too badly considering that he was playing out of position. I wouldn't look to Wheeler, or any of the kids, to blame for the defeat, it was the senior players making bad decisions and silly errors that cost us.

| considering he was out of position i think he managed quite well if im honest.
he scored a try and that was with seeing hardly any of the ball. this shows quality and ability to find the try line.
he is not a natural centre so i would forgive him for coming inside most centres would use footwork and and a good offload to put the winger away maybe a rush of bloof to the head and maybe thought a step back on the inside and a supporting player would follow
