| Their Media said the prince of Wales was unavailable for the Donny game. Given cup games are split gates and once you factor in travel they won't be making a huge amount anyway. Shame as Cheltenham is an easy trip for me which I consider if we've got a long away or are playing the Saturday.

| Didn't the RFL insist Oxford played at the nearest available ground when we went on the road for the last time at Iffley Road? Doncaster certainly isn't the nearest ground with a suitable grading.
I agree they won't make much money but it may help avoid a shared loss. Doubt the gate at Cheltenham would cover match day expenses sadly once you factor in Workington's coach bill.

| The All Golds news release about Doncaster does say that the Prince of Wales is not available. The game will actually be on the second pitch at Doncaster, the one outside the Keepmoat. I had rather hoped Oxford might play on pitch 2 this season, as I want to count it as a new ground. Had even wondered if they might be able to put our league game on there on the same day as the football, but that appears not to be the case.
Not sure that All Golds have yet told their fans about the Workington switch - I got it from Workington.
On the positive side All Golds are streaming their game against Keighley this week live on youtube, although obviously none of us on this board would choose to watch that over proper live sport in Abingdon.

| Interesting. I am sure that the rotating banner on the All Golds home page said something different befire. Anyway, they have mentioned what I said on their Facebook page - "Unfortunately our home ground is unavailable. We did look at the possibility of a local stadium but seeing as the draw was made only last week it didn't leave us enough time to arrange an alternative." But that was only after someone asked.
