We supported a chap called Drew Nelson last night. He was just lovely. Think Springsteen in his Nebraska era. Influences of Kris Kristofferson, Neil Young, Townes van Zandt and that ilk.

He gave me a copy of his album Tilt a Whirl, which I'm about to give a listen on the way to work later. He's well worth a listen if you like industrial Americana.

Off to see Magnum (rock band not tv series before anyone tries to be funny) at Holmfirth this friday, they're being supported by Trillium, just wondered if anyone has heard or seen of this lot ?

Sheffield for Journey/Whitesnake/Thunder for me too next year

Hoping to catch the Buzzcocks next month in Hull. One punk band that's eluded me all these years.

Magnum as in '70's prog rockers' Magnum? I saw them in Bolton around 1995.

They where fantastic but showing their age a bit then, so god knows what they'll be like now (there were some proper Spinal Tap moments where the giant 'mood' fan at the side of the stage was blowing some of the comb overs/comb forwards hair back from balding heads when I saw them).

Went to XFM's Winter Wonderland last night and had a great night! Delphic were pretty poor but I was surprised that I enjoyed parts of Bloc Party considering I'm not really a fan and only knew a few songs. It's a pity that it always seems to attract idiots though, that's the second time I've been, my friends have been another year too and there always seems to be a bit of a scuffle in there.

Little Angels and Skin tonight at Leeds Academy. Really looking forward to this.

How was it ?

I went to the Manchester gig, really enjoyed it.

Little Angels were good and it was great seeing them live....... Have to say though that Skin were amazing. Have seen them a few times over the last few years and they superb live.

Have tickets to watch Thunder next week. Another great live band.

I saw the Buzzcocks for the first time at the Welly in Hull last night and what a show they put on . Great live band and a great setlist to with all there hits in there .

Having not been to many gigs this year only Grandaddy and maybe a couple more my lift for next year is starting to build up

The Stone Roses at Heaton Park was awesome! Probably the best gig I've ever been to.






Echo & The Bunnymen at the O2 Academy last Saturday was a top notch gig too.
