I ended up sending the Mrs with no1 son - she was at Spike Island, so it seemed appropriate.
PE brilliant by all accounts and The Stone Roses, despite Ian Brown still not being able to sing, went down a storm; a good time was had by all, and I expect the Roses accountants are much happier this morning. |

Ian Brown has never been able to sing, but he's always had a good rapport with the crowd, no matter what generation of fans are there. As a frontman he has a presence that is lacking in many of today's artists. |
