| Quote: bren2k "I got two tickets for the upcoming Stone Roses gigs last week - on a whim really, as I didn't log on to the site til half an hour after they went on sale and thought they'd all be gone. The Mrs is taking no 1 son - she was at Spike Island, so it will be a bit of nostalgia for her; not sure what he'll make of it, given that he spends his entire life listening to grime and hip-hop.'"
I have tickets for the Saturday, missed seeing them first time round, but saw them at Heaton Park and Finsbury Park a couple of years ago, they were excellent.
No 1 son may be in for a surprise,Brown is a big hip hop fan and this tells in the support acts,Plan B,Professor green,Dizzy Rascal and Rudimental supported them at HP and FP gigs.
The support bands were decent all round with ,Johhny marr,The Vaccines,Primal Scream,The Courteeners amongst others who supported them,so whilst the tickets are steep, you get to see
a few decent bands.

Barf holly has a very wicked dry sense of humour. What also makes watching a band enjoyable is the venue. Somewhere like "the deaf institute" is perfect. The Wedding Present were
playing at the Ritz on the same night, and it would've been great to see both bands on the same day. But sadly that didn't happen.

| I just got tickets for Lucius at Brudenell Social Club next April; discovered them supporting Jack White last year and fell in love with their sound. One to look forward to!

| I saw "chastity belt" in Manchester in October and they were really good. Black Sail my favourite song by them and "no regerts" is an excellent lp. They have carried this work on with their 2nd LP. If they ever come back over here again I'd go and watch them again.

| Carnival of Madness tour ...
Halestorm ... very good
Shinedown ... excellent, needed to be given more than a 9-song slot
Black Stone Cherry ... disappointing, not headlining material for Arena-size venues in my opinion
The wrong band topped the bill as far as I'm concerned.
