A band that I've heard quite a bit about, and have been fortunate to have received a promo of their new album recently, is The Popes Of Chillitown.
Mainly ska based, but throwing a lot of other things into the mix, along with some hugely addictive songs that get stuck in your head. Worth a look when the album comes out on the 15th.... Go to Bandcamp for details.
I dont know if this artists fit in here, but i have to put them out there. Straight out of Toronto check out Jessie Reyez and Alan Rayman. Great Canadian up and coming artist!
Not exactly a new band but if you haven't seen them and you're into Blues/Rock check out the Chantel McGregor Band!
Chantel is from Bradford, plays an awesome guitar and has an incredible voice too.
I'm sure that some of you will have seen or heard her but for those who haven't do a youtube search particularly for the gig where she is jamming with Joe Bonamassa.
