Torn a bit this year. The stand out would have to be Chvrches album. Fantastic debut considering they produced it themselves and are getting pretty big in America off the back of it.
Also a cracking album came out on monday from TOY, dirty psychadelic rock. Also wasn't their best but I enjoyed Paramore's new offering. Losing two influencial members of the band they've moved away from the pop rock they're accustomed to, to something a little more mainstream with electronic elements thrown in.
Having had some time to digest this, my top 10 goes like thisTomorrow's Harvest[/i
Arcade Fire - [iReflektor[/i
Deerhunter - [iMonomania[/i
Kurt Vile - [iWakin On A Pretty Daze[/i

Oneohtrix Point Never - [iR Plus Seven[/i
Jessy Lanza - [iPull My Hair Back[/i
James Blake - [iOvergrown[/i
Special mention: The Field, Sally Shapiro and Low.
I would probably choose Public Service Broadcasting's Inform - Educate - Entertain as my particular favourite of the year, though give me time to think I will come up with numerous other favourites.

Alice in Chains - The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here
Clutch - Earth Rocker
Ghost - Infestessimum

Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats - Mind Control
Quote: roversmad "Manics-Rewind the film. Completely underwhelmed after the first listen. Will really need to be 'in the mood' to give this one another go.
Pearl Jam-Lightning bolt. Great album. 'Sirens' is an instant classic.'"
After another couple of listens, how wrong I was to be underwhelmed!!!
