| I almost get the impression that as an act of revenge he's going to kill the 2 people he co founded that company with and who cheated him out of millions. whether he can kill Jack and his gang and rescue Pinkman remains to be seen. He wants his $70 million back!

| That's a lot to cram into 60 minutes !! Apparently they are thinking of doing a spin off with Saul as the main character

| There's no rescuing of Pinkman. Walter let Jane die, and he told that to Jesse's face. He then handed him over to the gang to be killed. That led to Andrea getting killed when he refused to cook for them.
The only hope for Pinkman is that Walter kills the gang and then sends someone else to free him. But Walter doesn't have anyone that can free Jesse and Jesse ratted him out to Hank. It could be argued that the cops might not be able to convict Walt if Jesse's dead, but if Jesse is alive he's going to jail forever.
The gang are definitely getting killed. They've got $70m of his money and they murdered Hank. It really didn't make any sense that the gang would let Walter live after Hank was shot.
Walt wasn't cheated out of his money by Gray Matter, was he? He lost out on the fortune because he left the company because he'd messed around with her. They then got stinkingly rich after he left, but he wasn't cheated out of the money, he walked away from it.
I think the interview they gave on the Charlie Rose show was something that they needed to do for the good of their company. It wasn't true that Walt had so little to do with their company, but of course a billion dollar company is going to try and distance itself from the world's most notorious meth cook. I don't think he's going to kill them for it. They created the spark that is going to blow up Albuquerque, but I don't think they'll be in the blast. They would have paid for all his medical bills, they would have probably given him a huge chunk of money to cover his work, but he chose not to because he'd rather earn it cooking meth.

I thought they'd be doing a feature length finale. Last weeks episode was extended to an hour and so is the finale.
Really not sure about a Saul spin off. I think he's been a great character on BB but I can't really see how they could make a worthwhile spin off. I think Saul's post BB life is to turn away from a life of shady characters and get an honest job (albeit with the help of the stash he's kept).

Scratch that. It's going to be a prequel. I think that can work.

| *****SPOILER*****Not a bad finish to the whole saga.
Walt gets to look after his family
Hank and Gomez get found
No more Blue meth on the streets of the US of A
Would have liked Jessie to have had some ££€€$$ after everything that went on. Great tv.

But any money that he left with would have been tainted. At least now he might be able to move on.
It was a good ending. A little too perfect though. Getting rid of Lydia and the gang so easily, only for Todd to be left alive so Jesse could kill him? Whatever!
Still think it was completely unrealistic that Jack would have left Walt alive after he killed Hank. I also think Hank was a dick for telling Jack to eff himself when Walt offered all his money for his life. I think Hank should have agreed to keep quiet to save his life, then Jack should have shot him anyway, saying he couldn't trust a "cop".
Hank could have lived and backed down from going after the gang. They just needed to threaten to kill Marie if he didn't just step down from the DEA.

| Cracking ending to what I think is probably, on balance, the best TV series I've ever watched; if you haven't, do so at once.

| Well, finally finished it last night
Excellent series, and often I couldn't call what would happen next.
Up there with The Sopranos (which had a silly ending IMO)
Right...I'm back to watching Box Set of 'Big Bang Theory'. Only recently discovered this, and is sooooooooooo funny. Complete contrast to Breaking Bad!

| Just finished watching a marathon of The Wire. BB gets 9.5 on imdb, TW gets 9.4.
While I enjoyed The Wire, Breaking Bad destroys The Wire in the same way as Walter White destroyed Gus Fring.

The big difference for me is that Breaking Bad never had a poor season, whereas The Wire storyline that focussed on the media and McNulty's faux serial killer was just daft. They're both brilliant, but Breaking Bad is brillianter.

| Agree with the guy above who mentioned the McNulty storyline in Season 5 of The Wire, didn't ruin my enjoyment of the series but they could have gone in so many other different and more interesting directions with the characters they had developed over time. Very disappointed with the ending.
As for BB, haven't seen it all yet and I stupidly half-caught a mini-spoiler reading this page so I won't be on again until I've watched it all!

| I loved Breaking Bad but can't believe people are putting it ahead of the Wire. IMO the best tv series ever
