Given the latest animal related indiscretion by an NRL player and the fact we've got space on the cap does anybody reckon there might be some mileage in a punt for him? Experienced Origin half leading the Roosters round the park for about a decade including 3 LLS equivalents and a Grand Final win and regularly kicks out of hand.

He'll either end up at Salford, Warrington with their miracle flexible salary cap or Catalans if the Roosters fancy a rehabilitated Todd Carney back in a straight swap.

Nice dig, but, unlike some other clubs on this side of the Pennines Wire have never committed a salary cap offence. In case you didn't notice a goodly number of highly-paid players left the Wire squad at the end of last year more than compensating for the newcomers.

A little off point but does anyone else think the nrl have got an odd view. I mean, the thing with the dog was stupid but that's about it. The way he treated the women in their own house was disgusting. What a total dipshiit.

Personally, I'd rather the NRL didn't get involved in matters like this (the same goes for the RFL over here).

It's for the Roosters as his employer to decide whether his actions have breached their disciplinary code and deal with it accordingly IMO.

Yeah. The dog thing makes him out to be a complete and utter prat, but it's not like he tried doing anything with the dog. His history with women is something more for concern. Obviously not learnt his lesson from the previous incident. Seems like there's always some big incident with NRL players in the off season. I like Anthony Mundine's comments. What do they call themselves, the ethics board or something? Either way it's a load of bull and they should but out.
