| I don't think we'll sign anyone else now. We need Widdop IMO. Sutcliffe is not a 6

I agree more than happy with sutty being our stand off. Let's hope people give him a fair chance if it doesn't work straight away. He showed enough last year to warrant getting the job

"X isn't a 7"
"X is more of a 13 than a 6"
Some people are still stuck in the 1970s, an era where positional roles were very clearly defined. Fact is, all you need from your half backs is to be a combination that works. Doesn't matter where they are named on the team sheet.
Similarly the Dave Heron style ball-playing 13 who played almost like an extra half-back is pretty much redundant. It's either a third prop or a bulked up back rower who can play down the middle these days.

| Sutcliffe is a loose forward. He's talented enough to be a jack of all trades. He played FB, centre, 2nd row this year, but can you see him and McGuire running games, and controlling big games? Can you chuff.

Maybe that's the explanation for Cuthbo's Tash - he wants the 13 shirt and doesn't want to be moved to prop - he's shown he's got the hands, now he's got the Tash.....

I can't see Sutcliffe controlling games to a top level as it stands.....but it'd be freakish if he could. How old is he and how many games has he played? He does however has experience alongside him in McGuire and Burrow and Falloon has to play a key part in the pivots next year.
Also we have a more balanced front row in terms of shared workload which will take the load off hoping Sinfield/McGuire/Burrow + Peacock alone could pull us through games like years past.
We'll miss Sinfield's experience at HB no doubt, but we'll gain some attributes there too in terms of more speed and a running game from Sutcliffe.

He's not a loose forward in the style that Leeds want their loose forward to play.
Can I see Leeds using him as a ball carrier and a defender in the middle unit in 2016? Can I chuff.
I can see him playing alongside McGuire and offering a different sort of threat to complement Danny though, in much the same way Sinfield has done.

Sutcliffe has more than proved his worth to be our starting 6 next year just watch ST's away for a start and he was more than holding his own prior to injury.
With Falloon at 9 Burrow off the bench ,Mags at 7 and Cuthbo at 13 he'll have plenty around him to perform that 6 role the Team will need perfectly.

| Sutcliffe has a sense of timing superior to most. If he can harness other elements of his game, I think he'll make a cracking half back.
