| Makes sense in some aspects. Non quota and can play centre where Arthur clearly wants a new signing.
In other aspects...it's Jake Connor and he's terrible.

| If we are signing Jake Connor you would have to believe we have more cap space than was indicated as Arthur has stated publically that we are looking for size in the forwards and a hard running threequarter. If Connor is additional to the above and he can get properly fit I am ok with the signing as he covers 3 positions and brings something different in that he can unlock a defence which croft apart we have struggled with. If he signs expect him to take the 14 shirt!

Holy moley. All I can say is that he is a goal kicker.

Leeds pedigree? What does that even mean.
You may well have spoken to him regarding his future but it had bugger all to do with Rohan Smith.

| Jake Conner.
One of our main issue in recent years is errors and lack of discipline, he wont fix that.

| Connor is a good player. Has is issues but Arthur has history of keeping mercurial players like Norman and Hayne in line. He gets us an outside back without using a quota spot.
On the whole Harrison thing, he was never ours. But given he did ok on his loan spell in covid it always felt like we missed out. Nothing to do with Smith though. Said on another thread if we’re talking home grown forwards I think a double swoop for Mulhern and trout could be good.

He is great for team spirit as well. Every time a try is conceded he points a finger at other team mates and blames them even when its his error or fault.
Add to that he is slow, lazy and cannot tackle just what we need.
If true and this is the best Blease can come up with then there are doubts about him.

| In the Brad Arthur era Connor is a very good signing. I probably wouldn’t have agreed if Smith was still the coach with his laid back style.
Also think Liam Byrne would be an excellent addition, if he does actually move.
I note the negative comments re Blease already as soon as the first name is linked. Come on guys, Leigh played Salford last night in the playoffs and their squads are full of players you would turn your nose up at. They were 4th and 5th and we were 8th.
Let’s see the whole picture play out and give Blease a chance, he will be a success.

| Could it be that we’re looking to find a way to send Jack out on loan too. Connor gives a bit of flexibility.
But my only other thought would be if we’re signing him it’s either to start or for depth. As much utility as he offers I can’t see us carrying him and O’Connor on the bench.

| Goudemand not lacking in effort. Just not big or dynamic enough. Writing was on the wall when he couldn’t beat out Donaldson.

| Yeah, that small middles mentality.
Like Donaldson etc would be OK as a hard working backrow in a big pack, just not a prop in a small pack
