| So, Tautai has signed for Wigan. Last night Ali Lauatiti had tweeted he was leaving Wakey for "rugby". In the same tweet he mentioned Kirmond to Leeds. Wonder if there's any truth in that

| Interested to see what the club does with the likes of Keinhorst, Minns and Duckworth when they come back.
The cover for the threequarter line is going, IIRC none of the three will be Under 19s eligible for 2015. So do you keep them around, kicking their heels or going on dual reg, or do you cut your losses and let them go elsewhere, leaving you without any experienced threequarter cover?
Is this also Ash Handley's last year at 19s? Has to be now or never for him, looks a lot better on the wing than he has in the centres IMO, has matured physically and is a big, strong lad.
If you catch the highlights of the 19s game against Hull, check out his mid-air finish in the corner. Positively Hall-esque.

| I hope we don't sign Kirmond, I've a feeling whoever does will have o pay far more than he is actually worth, he is knocking on a bit and we aren't struggling for young back rowers.

What? he is same age as Ablett and Delaney, and younger than JJB.

You do realise there is a difference between the players you have and the players you go out and sign yes?

I realise that you made a mistake when you said he was "knocking on a bit". Now you are trying to say something else.
Did you have a problem in us signing Cuthbertson also, when we had Singleton and Baldwinson younger?

There is a difference between going out and competing for a 29 year old 2nd rower who has never proven it at a top club, and keeping a couple you already have, who already have.
If Delany was at Wakefield, I wouldn't be clamouring for his signing.
As for Cuthbertson, props last a bit longer, he will likely be replacing an older player and we aren't as strong in depth at prop as we are in 2nd row. Only Singleton right now, and Mulhern in the next year or so will be ready for regular games, in the back row we have Baldwinson, Foster, Ward, Sutcliffe making that step up, Achurch and Clarkson who are too old for anything else, as well as Delany, Ablett and JJB.

And that is perfectly fair enough to have that view. But it had nothing to do with age, so when you said he "was knocking on a bit" it was indeed a mistake, and not what you meant.

No, it is exactly what I meant. If Kirmond was 21 or 22 then I would definitely be in favour of his signing, if he was even 23/24 ready to kick on, then yes grab him. But he isn't, he would be 29yr old and whoever signs him will get 2 decent years on a good 4 year contract for a player who hasn't much improvement in him and even then isn't much better than what he have.

So like I said previously. As Cuthbertson is a year older, I am presuming you think that signing not worthwhile also?
